Adamawa Ex-deputy Governor seeks for Governorship Position

Former deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Mr Bala Ngillari has requested the Federal High Court in the FCT Abuja to swear him in as the state governor and end the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) attempt at holding a new election for the governorship position in the state.
In a summon filed by Mr. Festus Keyamo, Nggilari revealed that his impeachment along with Murtala Nyako was illegal and therefore should be made null and void.

He asked the high court to take off Hon. Ahmadu Umaru as the acting governor of Adamawa State and backed his claim with the Constitution, citing section 306 (1), (2) and (5) of the Constitution.

He revealed that if he is to be to be put back in office as now a governor, there will and should be no reason to hold another fresh election.
