Three (3) PDP Governors Will Join APC Soon - Gov Wamakko.

The Governor of Sokoto State Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko yesterday, August 24, disclosed that three serving governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will decamp to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a month’s time.
Speaking yesterday in Kaduna with newsmen at the venue of the APC North West caucus meeting to strategize ahead of its zonal rally expected to hold in Sokoto State early next month, the governor said two of the governors to join the opposition are from the North while the other one is from the South, Leadership reports.

Wamakko said: “We met here to first and foremost put a functional zonal office and other offices in place and to hold zonal rallies to kick start our party’s victory by 2015.

“As I am talking to you now, three PDP governors are set to join the APC between now and the end of September. Two of the governors are from the north while the third one is from the south.”

On allegations that he has an anointed candidate to take over from him in the state, he replied: “Only God makes leaders. I cannot tell you who will succeed me in Sokoto State.”

Since the formation of APC, it’s been defection of politicians from PDP to the new party or from the new party to PDP.

Not quite long, Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of State for Education claimed that six serving commissioners under the administration of Gov. Rotimi Amaechi will resign their positions in December 2014 and defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Recently, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
