Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS)


The Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) was launched in October, 2012 to create opportunity for graduates to be attached to firms /organizations, where they can work for a year and enjoy a monthly stipend of N30,000 with a Group Life and Accident Insurance. Such interns can use the opportunity to gain working experience and enhance their employability skils.

The project has commenced registration of such firms and over 181,800 beneficiaries have been registered. This is beyond the threshold of 50,000 allotted for the scheme in any given year. Deployment of such beneficiaries has commenced.


    Graduate Registration
        To register as a graduate for this scheme you will need to:
            Be a citizen of Nigeria (must provide a valid ID)
            Be between ages 18 – 40 years (must provide birth certificate)
            Have completed the mandatory NYSC or present an exemption letter.
            Be holder of a degree equivalent (e.g. BSc, BEng, BA, HND etc.) certificate or higher qualification.
            Have a recent passport type photo ready to be uploaded during online registration. Please note size of image must not exceed 99kb.
            Make available ALL original documents for sighting at point of selection.

“Wenger, I’m ready to play for Arsenal” - Ghana’s Homeless World Cup star Mensah

The Ghana Homeless World Cup star is eyeing a call to play for the Gunners following an outstanding performance in the street soccer-style tournament in Santiago

A member of Team Ghana participating in this year’s Homeless World Cup in Santiago, Mensah McDonald Ezekel, is knocking on the doors of English side Arsenal to give him a chance.

Mensah is a super fan of the Gunners and hopes to use his exploits at the Homeless World Cup to catch the eyes of Arsenal scouts.

Team Ghana are among 42 nations taking part in this year’s street soccer–style tournament for homeless men, women and youth, which kicked off October 19 with the finals taking place on Sunday, October 26.

The 18-year-age Ghanaian is already a delight of the fans with his skills and attitude on the pitch.

“I am here to make my family proud,” the winger told the press.

The brother of three younger siblings had a long trip from Ghana through South Africa and Brazil to get to Santiago. Mensah was given the opportunity to represent the west African side by the manager of the Ghana Homeless World Cup team and believes he has not only developed as a player but as a person also.

“We are very poor back home, but me coming here is not just for me. It's for the people of Ghana.”

The Porcupine Warriors have revealed jersey numbers of their players ahead of the new Ghana top-flight term


Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko have disbursed the squad numbers for the 2014-15 season, Goal Ghana can confirm.

The Porcupine Warriors are waiting patiently for the outcome of the litigation between King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association which has delayed the new season originally scheduled to commence on September 21.

Goal understands that returnee Ahmed “Simba” Toure will wear his favourite number 29 jersey worn last season by Michael Mensah to spearhead the Kotoko attack and Rashid Sumaila will wear jersey number 24 also previously worn by Godfred Asante. New recruits Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi have been handed number 28 and 16,which were worn last term by Richard Yeboah and Soulama Abdoulaye respectively.

Larbi Koomson and Abdul Latin Amadu will wear the iconic number 10 and 9 jerseys worn last season by Michael Helegbe and club's topscorer Seidu Bancey whilst left back Eric Donkor is expected to drop his 31 jersey for 11 previously worn by Yahaya Mohammed.

Other new signings Emmanuel Asante and Akwasi Acheampong will wear jersey number 25 and 26 worn by departed Aminu Mohammed and Joseph Ochaya respectively.

Goal can also confirm that Mark Sekeyere will be joining the Porcupine Warriors in December, but yet to pick his number.
